44-year-old truck driver is lucky to be alive after the truck he was driving rolled on the Mogriguy Road, north of Dubbo yesterday.
Thousands of dollars of contents were lost from the back of the semi-trailer when it rolled after the driver inadvertently took a wrong turn in the early stages of a trip to Brisbane.
Shortly before 2pm police, ambulance and rural fire service crews were called to the scene of the single-vehicle accident where a Kenworth semi-trailer had veered off the road and lost its load of mangoes.
The 44-year-old driver of the vehicle was conveyed to Dubbo Base Hospital where he was in a stable condition.
Orana Local Area Command (LAC) duty officer Inspector Matt Scott said one lane of traffic on the road was blocked for a considerable period of time while debris from the accident was cleared from the scene.
We are continuing our investigations into the exact cause of the accident, Insp Scott said

A blowup basketball game and tricycle races drew in more people.
Other entertainments at Festival of Knights included a fortune teller, a pie eating contest, waterproof airbrush body painting, and a face painting booth put on by the Student Nurses Association.
Keeping true to a tailgating event, food was everywhere. A Wackadoo's Grub and Brew trailer gave away hot dogs, burgers, and sandwiches. A Smoothie King tent handed mini sample cups, drawing in tailgaters needing refreshment from the heat. Added refreshment was supplied by neighboring tents equipped with Monster energy drinks, fruit juice, water, cookies and chips.
