Authorities were called to 5647 Sutton Point North about 3:10 p.m. after a neighbor spotted smoke rising from the garage, according to Livingston County sheriff's deputies.
Upon arrival, Groveland, Livonia and Geneseo firefighters entered the garage and quickly extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported. The property owner was not home at the time, deputies said.
Livingston County Fire Coordinator Kevin Niedermaier said the fire was caused by a starter button on a 1995 Polaris wave runner that was parked on a trailer in the garage. A second waver runner and aluminum boat also were damaged along with other various items in the garage, deputies said.

What follows is a road movie, full off oddball characters and unexpected twists and turns along the way. Seth Green has an extended cameo as Ezekiel, a helpful if sarcastic Amish man who is also a master mechanic. The drive includes stops at a trailer park, a county fair, and a rocking Amish party full of teens celebrating rumspringa, a period of time at the age of 16 when they are encouraged to experience 'modern' living.
Based on a book, the screenplay is well-crafted and airtight, without the episodic feel normally found in this sort of material. Director/writer Sean Anders coaxes very natural performances out of his mostly unknown young cast and wisely avoids the excesses of poor humor and sexual language, using them as a spice rather than the main course.
Essentially an update of 'The Sure Thing,' the awfully named 'Sex Drive' shows that you don't need big budgets and big-name actors to make a good movie, just a good idea and dedication to it
