Travel trailer sales

A Worth man was charged with fleeing and eluding police during a traffic stop in the trailer park where he lives, police said.
Gregory Vik, 37, of the 10400 block of Southwest Highway was stopped by police about 2 a.m. Oct. 16 after he ran a stop sign in the park with his headlights off, police said. He jumped out of the car and fled through the park, dodging officers as he ran between house trailers, police said.

Nothing is what it seems, but all is as the Haunted Hickory's many fans have come to expect: scary.
Last week, the crew of the Hickory and representatives from the USCGC Roanoke Island, put the final touches on Haunted Hickory 2008, an annual event offering a big scare for the small price of donated items for the Homer Community Food Pantry. A trailer on the dock will be provided in which to place offerings.
'In 2007, the goal was 2,500 pounds of food,' said Chief Warrant Officer Scott McAloon.
That effort more than doubled the amount collected in 2006: 1,000 pounds.
With winter coming, the donation is well timed, according to Diane Jeska, the food pantry's board president
